Greetings from Victoria
Hi, just introducing myself. I'm Mark, based on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. I have long been interested in carpentry and made a few things in my teens, but left it behind a bit with study, then work, then kids. Keep telling myself that 'oneday' I'll get into it and have decided that now is 'oneday'.
Currently just tinkering in the garage, having built a workbench for myself, with different rustic type products using old fence panels. Looking to get into routering, cabinet making and box making on the one hand, and electric guitars and speaker cabinets on the other.
Have already picked up a lot of advice from this forum, which I am thankful for.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Mark".
There are a heap members in Melbourne and the surrounding areas...
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie

G'day
I've been a member for a while, but I'm socially awkward in real life or on the web but I thought I'd say hi and say I'm about to embark on my first wood project, a cigar box guitar, building the box myself though. I work in stone in real life and I reckon it might be nice to work some beautifully grained timber, so there you go.

G'Day "Gottwood", We're all for the most a top mob on the forum and except for the mod's [only sometimes], no one really bites so it's good to see you jumping in the deep end BUT please show off your handiwork with a new thread with lots of photos. The forum is a great place to learn and share, so enjoy the ride. Cheers, crowie
