How do I remove a casement window?
Hi There - I have a Queenslander with a heap of casement windows that I want to renovate. I have started on stripping one insitu but it is hardwork and I don't like the dust and mess (I have young kids). I would like to take the window out and do the work in a shed. Trouble I can't seem to figure out how to remove the window. There is a pin holding the sliding mechanism into the hinge plate but it won't budge.
Does any one have any ideas or suggestions?
The house is circa 1950 and the hinges are Whitco Hardware Manufacturing Co. Brisbane - they are original.
Thanks...
