    Default Cover versions that are better than the original

    This could be a pretty contentious thread.
    Put up cover versions you think are just as good, if not better, than the original.

    I'll kick it off with this one.

    Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails. Probably the only video clip to ever leave me with goosebumps.

    I remember reading about when Trent Reznor first heard it/watched the video clip, he said something along the lines of "wow, it's like I've just lost my girlfriend, that song isn't mine anymore".

    I like James Carr's version of Dark end of the street
    but I prefer Richard and Linda Thompson's version
