Jarrah or H4 Pine bearers
I am using 75 x 50 jarrah(salvage seasoned) joists for a small deck which will span between a limestone wall and a beefy steel lintel, both are within 50mm of the soil level (cannot lower due to retaining issues but the soil is well draining sand)
My question is,can I use some of the 50 x 75 jarrah as bearers on the lintel/limestone to fix the joists to or would i be better using H4/5 pine (white ants shouldn't be an issue as I have a bait station system with good insurance cover)
