Standard Floor Joists, Bearers and Stumps
Hi Folks
I'm after some opinions on what joists, bearers and stumps are the best to use these days. I'm sure there's mixed views, depending on a few things like price and the local environment.
But say, for a standard single storey house, roof trusses sitting on external walls, ocean and cyclones not a factor, soil fairly good such as Class M?
One guy reckoned the following:
100x45 F8 HW Joists at 450 CTS
100x75 F8 HW Bearers at 1600 CTS
100x100 Concrete Stumps at 110 CTS
What's the best around regardless of cost, and what's good while being cost-effective?
Mmm, I'm very interested to see what'll be thrown out there!
Thanks all
Cooky
