    Default Newbe carving

    Hello,

I am relativly new to wood carving and am hoping to as my first slightly more than basic carving carve a snake to act as a dagger handle to a dagger blade I am also making. The snake will either be a basic coiled do, or curved back to bite the hand that wields it. I will either use hawthorn or yew. I was looking for patterns, but that is not going so well. either way, thank you for this lovely site and I hope to get to know you all better,
