Finding the sewer pipes
HI all,
I'm trying to guess where the sewer pipe comes away from my house as I need to put in a deck footing.
I've attached some photos. I believe they are inspection points for the sewer. If I string a line between them, it passes right next to the corner of my house, (but not in a line parallel to the house).
Photo 1: Inspection point 1 just next to the side of the house and stringline showing straight line to inspection point 2.
Photo2: Inspection point 2 above I believe the connect to the sewer main
My questions:
- Am I correct in assuming the sewer will be a straight line between these 2 points? Or would it run parallel to the house and then kink to the 2nd point?
- Is there any way of telling without digging a big hole?
Thanks,
