Adelaide: Hardwood Fencing: lots of work!
Hi Woodworkers,
I run a small business specialising in historical reproduction hardwood fences [picket, woven wire, balastrade & mini-flute] for the Adelaide market place. Despite the GFC demand is strong.
Always on the lookout for a fencing suncontractor, or talented amateur, to assist. Own tools & ute would be good but not imperative. Someone with skill enough to be independant.Increasingly our work is subsidised by various enlightned councils for their rate payers to build historically authentic streetscapes for their homes. Remember this is Adelaide as Wendy Harmer once said "if you stand still long enough you get Sandblasted"
If you think you might be interested have a look at www.heritagefencing.com to see the type of work we do.
Any responses or suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. We also may have work in a more junior position, shaping posts, painting & maintaining our workshop that could lead to a carpenters apprenticeship.
