Default Door Jam width for a Solid Core Door

I am planning a door jam to hang a 770mm solid core door on.

As a rank amateur, I don't know how much gap to allow each side of the door. That is, how wide should the jam be, internally.

I have been advised that 3 hinges are the go.

    Any advice greatly appreciated

    Cheers

With solid core 3 hinges definately, i would allow about 5-6mm assuming you can plane the door a little afterwards if you need to.
