Can we organize and index the Tools & Jigs Forum?
Hi Neil
It seems to me that a lot of very useful ideas and info has been posted on the Tools and Jigs Forum. However posts are gradually "lost" as a result of their being "replaced" by new posts.
Is it possible to catalogue the jigs, etc and index them for retrieval?
Regards from Perth
Derek

G'day guys - they aren't lost they are there, click on User CP (top of page) then Edit Options then scroll down to Thread View Options and set the Default Thread View to Show all thread. You should then be able to find all of the posts that have been made in all forums.
There is no way of indexing with this version of the BB, there may be with the new one which goes on soon but I would be very surprised if there was. Doing it manually would be a logistical nightmare. As it is I lose around 4 - 5 hours a week fixing problems with the BB and don't even have time to view half of the posts.
We will see what the new version of the BB brings when it goes on and maybe find a hack or two which might work for indexing.
It is a very good idea and one that would be great for most forums.
Cheers - Neil
