Default Wife said.."Size is important" "it has to be long"

SWMBO, wanted a desk for the main PC and somewhere for her laptop. The design brief was basically "that wall in the front room, I want a desk right along with a set of drawers for you and a set of drawers for me". The rest was up to me, except she wanted white drawers, and a timber top....but not too dark....no wires showing......main monitor on wall.....simple drawer handles..... apart from that, I could do what I want.

The drawers are MDF with the top recycled T&G flooring from a recycle yard.

She was very impressed......that I actually finished it....

Thanks for the positive responses, it was the first project since overcoming some health issues and I had a blast making it.

Next job is a built in bookshelf perpendicular to the desk. It will be MDF as it will be painted the same as the drawers. It will measure 3.2m x 2.4m.

This has also been commissioned by SWMBO, but that's cool, she has authorised the acquisition of a Clear Vue cyclone for my sanctuary...I mean shed. The coin was supposed to be for a cruise but I think she was that sick of me dragging dust and shavings in from the shed and my wheezing that she thought it a better investment. I have a good one

I like that. Just police the bench so that it can't become a venue to abandon anything.
Been there, done that, won't tolerate any more of it at all.
Suppose that you had 4 different printers and a big Canon 8800 photo scanner. Can you suggest how to pile them up? The HP color laser (freebie) has to be a 50cm cube.

Hi RV, won't have to Police it, the boss will do that. She hates it when the tops of tables, benches etc become cluttered with "stuff", and I am the main offender.
