Timber floors on top of chipboard???
We presently have chipboard floors and they sink about 3mm between the joists. We want timber floors and floating is out of the question cause of the amount of movement in the house (pole home on side of a hill). Any ideas about recycled timber and how to do it if possible?

Have a look at the laminate flooring thread on this forum, there's a Tillings timber product I have used that I believe could be succesfully used. I wouldn't try 2ndhand T&G flooring as it's hard enough to lay a decent floor with new. The old finish plus any dirt etc. in the grooves will make it near impossible to cramp the boards up tight.
