Enamel estapol over arcylic.

Hello all, i am still new around here.. (sort of).
I will get straight into my question (which i know is probaly a pretty stupid one), Basically i have carved a chaise lounge out of pine (pic's soon), and i have sanded it all back, to 400 grit paper with a orbital sander. then hand sanded with 800 grit. Then applied 4 coats of satin acrylic estapol, sanding in between.

My problem now is, i havent quite got the shine i had hoped for, in the past i have used spray estapol and had great luck with it. The thing is, that wattyl gloss estapol in a can is obvioulsy enamel.

Am i able to spray this over the satin acrylic estapol?
on the can it says do not use estapol 7008 over the top, but does not mention normal estapol.

Just use full gloss instead of satin(stay the same product range).
And theres no need to sand to 800 with pine, 240 by hand or 320 by orbital is plenty if using poly(estapol).

usualy i would stay the same product, but as it is, i have a can of spray estapol here.

both the spray and the acryclic can both say something like 'do not apply wattyll estapol 7008 over this, or under' .. now, from my knowledge 7008 is the two part mix?

No one can say if it is possible to use normal estapol over acrylic estapol??

any more help would be great??

Yeah the 7008 is a 2pack product, its extremely hardy has about the same strength properties as a 2pack car clear(tough).
The reason you cant use any finish over or under 7008 is because it simply wont adhere to it.

Acrylic estipol... as in water based poly over oil based, dont know your going to need too test it out for us!(on some scrap!)

The 7008 will stick to whats under it. its really sticky get it on your skin and don't wash it off before it dries and you won't get it off, but as Harry says itshard to get things to stick to it as it dries so hard, rubbing it back with fine paper helps but you would get terrible adhesion with a water based paint.
