Hi all,

i need some advice on how to lay about 100sqm of QLD spotted Gum flooring 80x19mm feature grade throughout our California Bunglow in Melbourne.

About 80% will be layed on chipboard/particleboard in the new extension, and the rest direct on the joist in the old part of the house. The height of the chipboard is the same as the joists in the old part, so it will continue right through.

I intended to use Bostik glue, but don't know if i should use the
Ultraset SF or Timberset?
i also will secret nail it with a Bostitch flooring stapler.
How long should the staples are?
The area i lay the flooring in is T shape, the vertical part about 20m long (entrance, hallway, formal seating opening in to the lounge and living area), the horizontal part about 11 meters wide ( dining, kitchen, lounge).
The boards are running in the vertical direction.
Do i need additional expansion gaps within this large area or are the gaps on the perimeter enough to avoid cupping/lifting of the floor??

Anything else i should look out for?

Thanks
