painting, Yellow, tongue
I have recently laid a yellow tongue floor of approx 72 sq meters an a weekender. Is it possible to paint this with an epoxy paint or are there some other finishes that would be better?

sure
Any decent floor finish will work, and the Haymes "Easy Floor Gloss" is a decent one that the average DIY'er should have no problems with.
If you hire an "orbital" sander, (sorry I do not know the technical term, but they are just a big base plate, about 45cm sq that work on the same principle as an small orbital sander) then you can easily sand the floor yourself and get a pretty professional finish if you just follow the basics of preparation.

If you treat chip board flooring, like the quality product that it isnt.
It can look great, I have seen it done well and it looks like a cork floor.
Sand well and finish with your product of preference and it can look wonderfull.
Normal flooring polly works well.
AND the finish will consolidate the surface and make it wear well.
I know of a few ballroom dance studios that have chip board floors finished with nothing but wax....and they look stunning.

Most powertools have sharp teeth.
People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.
