Great workbench vises by Yuri Arapov
This might be of interest to others who are looking at making a leg vise and a wagon vise for a Roubo style bench.
Yuri Arapov, software engineer from Russia, who goes by the screen name yuridichesky, has made to his own designs a wagon vise and a leg vise a bit like the Benchcrafted ones, but conceived differently. His Lumberjocks blog clearly shows how he made them. To me they seem inventive and practical.

If you have preconceptions of heavy and awkward Soviet-style technology, that is not right. This stuff is nice.
As a preview, here's his leg vise (http://lumberjocks.com/yuridichesky/blog/40137)
