I'd be paying for someone who knows what they're doing. Some things are just not worth the risk of DIY; if you get it wrong, the potential damage is going to be a hell of a lot more expensive than hiring an installer.

I concur with Elan. In Australia you need a license to work with refrigerants due to their implications for the ozone layer and global warming. I doubt that someone would get the required license without having been involved to some degree in installing rooftop AC units, and gaining some knowledge of how they would be secured to a tiled roof, how the plumbing and electrical connections would pass through the roofing and resealing the roof against weather ingress.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Not to worry gents, I won't be touching the gas and electricity my sparky brother will be doing those. I help him installed a split system at our little sister niece.
I had a convo with him yesterday and he sent me pics of the jobs that he has done and said that he's using the stainless steel wires comes with the kit to secure the bracket to.
The stainless steel wires look flimsy and not convincing to me so I jump on here and ask questions.
