A nice surprise
I was taking apart some old windows the other day and was surprised to find on of the Huon sill sections was full of birdseye grain! The windows are out of a hundred year old house. In the past I would have turned it into boxes but I will probably sell this block as I am not really making boxes anymore.

A window sill wow, what a great score
I was going to say crazy Tasmanians using it for sills, but then I think, Qlders use desert hardwoods like Gidgee/Western Rosewood etc for fenceposts and firewoodNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
