Hello from Adelaide South Australia.
I am new to woodworking and am enjoying it. I happened on a TAFE Woodwork and Construction course in Adelaide and signed up. It is for six months and started in June 2013.
We are just finishing woodwork and next term are doing construction, but it is the woodwork, which is taught by this fantastic cabinet-maker, which has sparked my enthusiasm. Even better the course was free, funded by Skills for All as a pre-voc course. Now I am not going into an apprenticeship, being older and with joints starting to get a bit creaky
but I seriously want to pursue this as a hobby.

There are quite a few members in and around Adelaide.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
