    Default shellac talc sanding sealer.

    Hi.

I was wondering whether this would be a good filler to use over sunburst stained blackwood.

Does anyone know whether it will dampen the 'brilliance' of the dyes?

Is there a better way to go ..like using a stainable filler first?

    All thoughts welcome.

    Hi ,

What are you making?, sounds like a Stratocastor or similar. Some in lutherie land have success with ZPoxy as a filler, it can highlight timber features but will yellow with time. Not a prob with most sunbursts, unless of course its a blue or something similar.

    ...well it's stratish...

    It's a Taylor T5 shape with P90's and a hipshot hardtail bridge.

...just approaching the home turn...probably not worth a photo yet.
