    Default Joinery 'systems' get together (JSGT)

    Hi folks, at last year's Sharpening GT, an idea was floated to hold another GT but on joinery systems and there seems to be enough interest to go ahead.
    So, here is the idea..
    Joinery systems get together
    fletty's shed
    Camden, NSW
    10am, Sunday, 18th June, 2017

    Systems to be demonstrated and tried, already include;

    • Leigh dovetail (D4)
    • Gifkin dovetail
    • Domino
    • Hegner finger jointer
    • lock mitre (using Infinity set up gauges)
    • Trend mortise and tenon

    In addition, the following have been offered, but to be confirmed
    • Incra positioner

    and, I'm hoping for offers of;
    • Incra iBox?
    • Kreg Foreman (?)

    Mid June will be cold in Camden but an open, outdoor fire is planned and there are heaters in the shed. There will be the usual freebie sausage sandwiches available and BBQ space if you want to cook something yourself.
    Depending on weather, there is off-street parking and/or camping/ caravan, power is available.
    Please advise if you are interested in attending even if you can only confirm closer to the date AND please advise if you would like to attend but can't because I have chosen a date that clashes with something that WE should all be interested in (as with last year when I chose a date that clashed with the Kyneton (Vic) Lost Trades Fair!).

    But you already knew that.

    Do you mean Kreg pocket hole jig Wood pixie?
    I can bring one if anyone wants to try one but most will be familiar with them I think.
    Those were the droids I was looking for.

    I recall reading about Wood Pixies to my kids Tony, they enjoyed them in the stories, not so much trolls and Oger's tho.

    Can I use one wood turning?

    Someone (and I honestly can't think who?) has recently also bought a Kreg Foreman (?) pocket hole thingo?
    It would certainly fit into the theme. Now, who was it?

    I will confirm my previous confirmation. Anyone got a Dowelmax to add to the variety?

    I'm interested. Will need to confirm closer to the date. I have an Incra iBox, but haven't used it much. Happy to bring it along.

    cheers

    Pity I'm in the wrong state or I'd bring along our Lamello Invis Mx2.
    It's a fantastic concept, but you have to be absolutely spot-on with your drilling or you're in for an entire galaxy of pain...

    I also have a hammer and some nails... Stop scoffing. It's a joinery system. The advanced version uses a drill and some screws.
