Introducing myself
Hi , Chris Hallam here. Have done a few years guitar building with Maton in the mid 70's
and now my interest is with wooden boats. I have just purchased an 18ft carvel motor boat from Portland called Florence of Queensclif. She is a tidy little boat but the motor, a Yanmar PMX 6 is not working. Found it needed the valves done and a few small fixes, so now am waiting for the head gasket to be sent out from Japan....very fewparts for these around. I Put the boat in at Mordy creek last Saturday and she seems to be takeing up nicley. Any other Mordy creek boat owners here? Would be nice to have a chat.

Thanks for the welcome. Thought i would update the news on the boat in Mordy creek. Well the motor re build went as planned and we have been out fishing and putting about since April and we are all ready for the snapper season. Have also just picked up a very nice Jarrah cray boat hull, so i've started a thread here on its progress:
