Re rope an extension ladder help
I have an older aluminium (mote) extension ladder that needs a new rope
I am after a diagram on what ties to where and where the rope goes through the ladder
I heave searched every where fir something that I thought would be fairly simple

Most search results seem to refer to youtube, others just mostly words, no detailed pics.
I agree, would think it should be fairly simple.
I guess your in for a yt video or 2.

Hi Strungout,
My ladder is a bit different from yours but the setup is probably similar. I was going to take a photo but decided a diagram might be better. I hope this is of some help.

the rope should be tied at the bottom in such a way it can be used to disingage the locking assy when the ladder is fully extended
by extending the ladder slightly and then using the other end of the rope to manipulate the assy
a pic of the locking lever might help also

Go to a hardware store that sells ladders also paint shops and have a look at the ladder that matches yours the closest and take photos or sketch
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

Strungout, sorry mate my drawing is misleading, the bottom "anchor point" should show the rope attached to a lever arm of the extension latch.
