    Default State of economy

General questions to everyone, how is there places of work. Does it seem busy or will be busy by the end of the year.

Reason for asking as i am thinking about getting a new apprentice carpenter and just want to make sure the world is going to come crashing down in the next six months.

To answer the question, we are busy and are quoting a lot of new work. Commercial office buildings fit out and two million dollar houses internal fit outs and floors. 90% in Sydney's eastern subs and north shore.

I think the only person who knows the answer to that question is you.

Aren't apprentrices subsidised by the Govt anyway. Not a bad way to expand and you're helping somebody get started.
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I think subsidies are small, i never take them up before. While i hate to let guys go when things are quite but carpenters get work within a few days but its harder for apprentices, so i dont want to muck them around.
