spray painting Pine cupboards Tall boys

Just recently purchased 2 x raw pine tall boys for the kids rooms the Wife wants them painted in enamel white paint I am thinking of spraying these as i hate brushing or rolling paint has anyone done this before and any tips or hints i should know of beforehand
I use to spray extruded metal boxes for the old man years back and i just used an etching pimer with the follow up coat thinned down using multi-purpose thinners of course but i have never sprayed using Oil based house paint is the process the same

2 coatings undercoat and 1 coating with enamel white....brush & small roller job
