Ebay seller limiting business
A few days ago I placed an order with a Chinese based Ebay seller for a range of socket head and set screws, 10 different items in all.
Today I decided to do another order for a few additonal sizes, this is the message that came up.

Never came across a seller that limits you to 10 items in 10 days, what possible reason could they have for that?

Sounds like just what I need, a tool seller who can exercise the self control that I lack.
It does sound a bit strange.Geoff

I came across one in May who limited each purchaser to 3 in ten days.

Thanks, but none of the reasons given there apply here.
All Buy It Now items
All different items
Previous 10 items already paid for via Paypal
Guess I'll have to wait for them to turn up, no biggie, total cost of order was $22.90 including postage
This guy lists a very wide range of sockethead and set screws, so I can see that people would want to buy more than 10 items at a time, but there you go.

It might be to stop others from on selling the goods in a commercial way.

The restriction could be imposed to limit the sellers potential exposure to paypal fraud.
Buyers have a considerable time to open a Paypal dispute about non delivery, fraudulent usage of account etc. Rationing purchases by quantity over time, sellers can limit exposure to chargeback from a particular Paypal client. The may or may not offer to exempt a regular customer once they established their bona fides.
Just an idea, no direct experieriece of the issue.
