    Default subscribing to posts

It seems that when you respond to a thread you become "subscribed" to that thread and thence receive e-mails indicating that another has responded to the thread as well. Most times this is useful. Sometimes it is not. Is there a way to change this to "opt in" by choice rather than automatically. Maybe I should just check my user control panel before logging off and "opt out".

Click on User CP and then select Edit Options.
About half way down the page you'll find Default Thread Subscription Mode
    Change this to opt out.

, you can also subscribe/unsubscribe to individual threads by clicking on Thread Tools at the top of each thread and selecting the appropriate link

This for asking this question. I once entered the 3 monthly prize draw and got the irrits getting an email everytime someone else said 'I'm in'. So I never entered again, so maybe I will if I know I can unsubscribe.

    cheers

It was getting the email like spam that annoyed me, not the fact the every entry after mine lessened my chances of winning
