Quality of Pain Cans
Just thought I would bring this up as I sick of the quality of the Paint Cans in Australia.
We had some Taubmans/Bristol paint that was about 12-14 month old.
The can had never been opened except for tinting.
When we went to use it the whole rim inside the can had gone rusty.I contacted Taubmans and all I got from them was that there cans are made to the Aust Standard and basically - Bad Luck about the paint.
(I dont use that stuff anymore even though I like the paint)
I have found that all of the local paints (Dulux,Taubmans,Bristol etc) that you buy,the rims around the top almost always bend when trying to get the lid off and after about 6 months the can starts to rust.
I usually get a large plastic jar now and store any "Touch Up" paint in them.
I have used the American Paint "Zinnser" and I have had one of their cans for about 5 Years The can and paint is as good as the day I got it.
