    Default Velcro backing pad

Can any of you good people please tell where I can get a Velcro "hook" backing for a 6" faceplate sander, so I can use the velcro backed sandind discs?
All three hardware shops in town (Horsham, VIC) have no idea where i should look.
    Cheers,
    Pete

Try the Sandpaper Man, an advertiser on this site. Click on his advert above or here: The Sandpaper Man

I have found them good to deal with and they are prompt in sending goods purchased via their web site.

    Default The Velcro.

    Hi Cosmicap,
Sunday Markets are a good source. The Childrens toy of 2 black 6"- 150mm. Catchies have Velcro on them, as they can catch a Tennis Ball , & they have Velcro on them.
Very expensive at a $1 - 1.50. It is just a matter of pulling the Threads out, & cutting them to fit as you will have 3 - 4 pieces, to fit your backing plate.
I dare say you know to use Contact Adhesive Glue, so when it has had it, you just use some Turps on the backing plate, & the old stuff falls off.
Well that is how I do it anyway.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Timbercon sell kits (of different sizes). Google for their address as they will mail them.
