Question where to buy plastic tongue for overlay flooring?

    Hello,
I have 120 square meters of good quality overlay flooring made out of 5 layers of plywood, with the top layer some sort of jarrah looking hardwood. The boards are 205 mm wide, and have a groove 4mm wide. Unlike most of these flooring types, the groove is on both sides of the board, and requires a plastic tongue strip to join the boards together. I have small bits of the tongue, so know what it looks like, but cannot find anyone who sells it. The strips are 15 mm wide and 4 mm thick, a sort of reddish brown colour. I would really appreciate some tips of where to get around 200 - 300 linear meters of this plastic stuff. Failing this, we will need to cut an awful lot of plywood strips to join the boards together.
    thanks, Pavla

    gday rmit-teacher

if you have dramas looking for the plastic strips (which i have seen at flooring supplies in the past) you can get strips of tassie oak from flummings that are 4mm thick and of varying widths - i'm sure 15mm would be sufficient for the task.
