light switch help (uk)
my wife got new brass light switches for hall and up stairs she has taken old ones off but i am not sure where the wires go on the double switch if one switch works the other dos not
help
this is how i have it but everything is not working
the 1st light switch in hall i have i know this is ok as i have replaced this one before as i have i with the one at top of stairs
com = blue
L1 = yellow
L2 = red
the 2nd is a double at bottom of stairs with 2 wires
com = blue
L1 = yellow
L2 = red all from 1 wire
com = blue
L1 = yellow
L2 = red all from 2nd wire
and up stairs i have
com = blue
L1 = yellow
L2 = black
help please

You might have better luck posting this on a UK forum. We have a couple of members in the UK but most are in Australia, and here it is not legal to do your own electrical work.

This site might help but if you do not know what you are doing then get a qualified electrician.
