Staining
Hi Forum
Its again time to coat my WRC Windows Exterior with oil
Problem is that with all the road dust accumulated and weather they have blemishes of black / grey staining and dust residue in timber.
I have heard you can use a mix of oxygennated nappysan as a cleaner diluted with water clean with nail brush then hose off.
Is this advisable or should i just wipe residue and sand with 120 grit paper.?
The oil i think i will go for is Feast Watsons Weathershield as this is an oil and only involves wiping on and has good weather resistance and antifungal properties. I have also heard that Organ oil is good as well and all natural product, but is expensive and not easy to obtain the right type.
Previos I have stained the WRC teak stain using Sikkens HL7 but have not got around to putting on two coats of Supernatural. Such a process of oiling then wait 24 - 72hrs for oil to dry then Supernatural two coats.
My question is should I just wash back with the oxy Nappysan and hose off , sand then oil when dry with Feast Wtson Weathershield ??
Just sand and Oil ?
Or stick to tendous process of Sikkens ?
Will I ever get my Windows Gleaming
