    Default Trust no one!

I bought some expensive Euro hinges the other day, mainly because it came with a template to lay out the holes for the screws and the giant hole for the hinge.

I did a practice run on some scrap yesterday and it was all wrong, so I got angry and tried to work out why and discovered that the template supplied by the manufacturer does not match the holes of the hinge in the same sealed packet, I got even more angry

I installed them success fully this morning (having calmed down) using the head in the cupboard with a marking pen method of layout.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

I had a problem with Euro screws I ran out of the ones that came with the kit (not enough provided for the job so I went to a specialist place and bought a packet. Assured me they were the same. Got home...threads the same but the heads were smaller and went straight thru the metal drawer slides.
