    Default Malware warning message

    Hello Admins,

just tonight I have started seeing this message from Malwarebytes for this forum.

    malware.png

It may be a false detection, but I thought you would like to know.

    Regards, Jeff

    Hi China,

Not actually a scam, it's a detection by malwarebytes - legit software to detect malware.
For the first time in the many years I have been using it, it detected a possible issue on this site, hence the post.

    Regards, Jeff

Still say it is a scam, I have real time protection and nothing has been detected

could just be a reputation report from an upstream provider that malwarebytes uses. These things can fluctuate over time

this is just for context on www.woodworkforums.com

There have been historical alerts for files also originating from this site, the forum moderators would have had their hands full at different points with this site

    Cheers,
    Nathan

How or where did you come up with the ubeaut.biz link on here?

The reported site https://ubeaut.biz is owned by me and is part of ubeaut.com.au protection. It is a secure site and contains this for these forums as New Page 1 along with other non malicious stuff used here and on MWF and our shop, etc.

But mostly it's online to protect all the other ubeaut sites, which in turn are there to protect the ubeaut site and name from woulkd be ID and site thieves, etc.

If you click on https://www.ubeaut.biz it will take you to a transfer page that in a couple of seconds will send you to U-Beaut Polishes – Retail sales of polishes direct from manufacturer. which it has been doing for around 25 years now. It was on the the labels of our products for many years and in our advertising as a lot of places back in the olden days wouldn't recognise .com.au web sited.

Malwarebytes. I've had it on all my computers for years and never been told ubeaut.biz was blocked as being potentially malicious.

    Malware bites... Most certainly does!

    Cheers - Neil

    Hi Neil,

Whatever the problem was last night/this morning it has now gone.
Whenever I opened a forum topic, malwarebytes popped up that message.

Anyway, I'm no longer seeing that warning.

    Regards, Jeff

Pleased to see all is good again. Especially as I'm doing some major work on pages there right now as overflow from ubeaut shop.
