    Default diesel in plastci 44s?

is it ok to get/store diesel in those plastic 44 galon drumms you can buy from produce stores?

we have an old fuel tank here tht has now hadit and we want to build a simple stand to hold a 44 we can lift down with the loader and take on the ute to fill up.

i could use a metal 44 but these dont last that long and i dont have one handy. nor do i know where to buy decent ones.
