Hi people
hi all, names Jason. just joined as i need a new hobbie/intrest/pocket money. i live surrounded by hardwood forrest/rainforrest and see so much wast after they have logged, even on private property.
i cant stand wast and as i can no longer work full time need to find a way to use this resource. i have thought about portable mills but dont know if they are worthwhile for my situation so am here to learn.
cheers

G'day Jason and welcome to the cubby.
When I saw your Forum name I thought you were a meatal worker!! Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Interesting idea that led you here. Congratulations for taking a positive attitude in your situation.
There are many things that can be done with smaller bits of timber. Of course you will need some tools and machinery. Have a look at the different forums that interest you, decide what may be feasible, and then look for appropriate machinery/tools. Don't need new machinery, plenty of good second hand stuphph out there.
