Hand planes.
Lei-Neilson is about to release a new 7 1/2 low angle with adjustable mouth.
I was about to order a number 7 with 55 deg frog but now feel i might wait and have a think about which way to go.
Anyone had any experience comparing say the Veritas low angle jack as opposed to a number 6 or 7 with high angle frog on Australian hardwoods.

I love low angle planes and I have many,
- LN LA Jack
- LN LA 7 1/2
- LV LA Smoother
- LV LA Bevel Up Smoother
- LV LA 7 1/2
If I had my time again, all my Bevel up planes would be from Veritas and my Bevel Downs would be LN with at least one Clifton, simply because they are so pretty.
