Greeting from Queensland
Hi there I thought I would introduce myself as a new memeber (only polite after all).
I have been interested in woodwork on and off all my life. As the grandson of a master NZ cabinet maker and boatbuilder I have a woodworking heritage that I have not always honoured.
Anyway I like to make a few things for myself and am mainly interseted in heavy furniture like bookcases and cabinets (after 10 years of university I have a few books!), and boatbuilding. I am by no means accomplished at these things and consider myself the most basic of carpenters. I have few power tools and my projects are pretty simple.
I'm hoping to pick info here on timber supplies in Brisbane and get inspiration to try new tools and techniques and acheive higher quality in my work.
Below are some of my completed projects. Thanks for reading!
One of a pair of book cases recently completed;
My Boat, a Highlander 14 which I built a fair few years ago now... I'm hoping to start on a new daysailer of my own design soon.
