They're still working on the belief that we have an absolute trust in churches. Nice try though.

This one is asking for a string along. If youve got the time and want to make the sucker look stupid then string him along for a few weeks. The trick is to keep him hanging on for as long as possible by asking him lots of useless questions (eg explain that you have different sleepers for different guage railways and which guage would he prefer, make him fill out a customer survey with lots of stupid questions). Keep it going for as long as you can and then when he flips through his bogus credit card number reply with an email informing him that his card is on a list of stolen cards and that youve reported him to the Australian Federal Police.
Youll be bored with the sucker by now so finish off by reporting him to the AFP.Whatever note you blow youre never more than a semitone away from the correct one....(Miles Davis)

Im with Martin, play with him / her for a while and when you get over it pass it on to the AFP. Do not however give anything personal away (not even your name) or you may end up being accused of killing a Hamas operative in some exotic location.

I had someone email me who had seen a car I advertised on Gumtree for a mate. Told him to ring the mate. He didn't of course but sent me some more emails which I then twigged to.
So I strung him along. The deal was I had to send $800 by Western Union to the carrier before paypal would release the $2000 for the car.
The idiot said he was in England, so I said no trouble, I know someone who can deliver the money direct to him.
Then he said he was in New Zealand at the moment. So I said no problem I've got lots of mates in New Zealand, just give me the address.
Silence.

One favourite tactic of the scam baiters is to get the male scammers to send photos of themselves dressed in women's underwear. These of course get posted straight on the web.

I've been sitting here wondering just how you get someone to dress up in women's underwear for photos. I think I must have led a sheltered life.
