Default size trowel for wall/fllor tiling

what size notched trowel do you guys use for floors and walls???

currently i have a 12mm trowell for floors. is that 2 big???

i think 10mm might give a smaller bed of adhesive!

and im thnking of 6mm trowel for thre walls?? is that ok

I think it also depends on the tile size. I use 12mm for 300x300 floor tiles. I think there is a recommendation on the back of Davco adhesive packets. I use 6mm for 150x150 wall tiles.
