Polyurethane on aluminium
Hi all,
I'm planning to apply flooring polyurethane on a plywood home theatre stage. As I want to have the TV be able to slide on wheels from side to side on top of it, on the plywood I'm cutting some dadoes and sticking aluminium strips in them to protect them from wear. The question is should I do this after finishing the board, or before, and paint the whole thing in one uniform coat? It's a long shot to expect poly to stick to aluminium but I just thought I'd ask.
Also related to that, what's the best adhesive to glue aluminium to wood?
