Hi all,

Hoping you can offer me some help and advice. I have attached a picture of our roof and an area where I am pretty sure a leak is coming from.

The valley gets blocked with leaves which doesnt help but I will get some guard for that. The main problem is the valley flashing stops short of the length of the valley. (red horizontal line in the picture)

The water runs down the valley flashing but then seems to run up and under the joining roof on the left. In the pic you will see where the previous owner has sprayed foam under the roofing to block the water. Why foam? Seems an odd choice.

I am hoping there is an easy way to fix this. Could I put lead flashing over the joins and hammer it to shape, or should I try and get the valley flashing continued down the full length. Would really appreciate any ideas....also happy to pay someone if it looks like a complicated job.

Thanks
Ben
