I guess this is a plumbing question but fluid mechanics is the area.

I have a closed circuit water pipe.

In this closed circuit pipe I have a circulator [pump] it moves the water around the circuit.

I have a feeder pipe to fill the said circuit with a stop valve.

So once the closed circuit pipe is filled with water and reached a certain pressure level I close off the stop valve on the feeder pipe.

So I can change the pressure in the closed circuit pipe.

What difference does the pressure have with the circulator?

If I have the closed circuit at 5 psi or 10 psi or whatever?

lets say the closed circuit is all horizontal no height.

I'm wondering what pressure to fill the circuit to?

Your thoughts as always are appreciated.
