Thread: WIP - A new Forum ?

WIP - A new Forum ?
OK, it's time to pressure our masters.
It seems an idea has grown legs and we need to see if it can run.
Would you like a Forum dedicated to WIP (work in progress) pictures etc, or are you happy to leave them in the current Woodwork Pics Forum?
It seems the WIP posts have become very popular and the responses indicate a lot of interest. If they were in their own section, I'm thinking they'd be easier to access and keep a track of.
I think they are a great learning tool for most members of this board.
A simple YES or NO will suffice.
Thanks. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Great Idea -- but folk should still put final product on the main pic forum. The WIP ones appearing lately are fantastic -- I learn so much from them ... going to post WIP on my next project.

I think the idea had merit....
But I think it would also detract from other sections that have WIP threads ...............Make em do a search !!!!!
Personally I love the present layout of our forum

I'm with Lou.
It seems to be accepted etiquette to include WIP as part of the thread title, so what's wrong with doing a search?
That way each thread stays in the forum it's appropriate to, WOODWORK PICS is just the most popular venue at the moment. [shrug]

Jest hold yer horses plastercine man.
I've been thinking.........stop laughing.
Whilst the idea has merit, I wonder if a newcomer may find all the forums available a bit daunting. Imagine this, your'e after some help, Google brings you here, a poke around and you find the home page. HOLY spoilt for choice BAtman, where do I go.
I think this is how so many newbies post aquestion in the Woodturning Forum, its at the top of the list, well sorta. Will yet another fourm add to the confusion?Boring signature time again!

theres a lot to be said for works in progress, not just to say oohhh and aaahhh, but rather it generates questions and discussion too. however WIP in the title is a good idea.
not a bad one plastecine one.Zed
