U-Beaut dye and China Wood Oil
G'day guys, i have a box that i stained with U-Beaut water dye, and thought i would give Feast & Watson China Wood Oil a try. This is my first time with both products, but have stained with other products, and coated with DO with success. After 4 coats of the oil, it is still bringing out the color. It will even rub of the color the next day if im not careful. Will it be ok after a couple of weeks of hardening? Hindsight (and a search of the forums) says i probably should have put on shellac before the oil, but i havent used it much either, and has never gone well for me. I know i can put shellac on over the oil, but will it arrest the problem, and how long do i need to wait before i do it?
Thanks KevThanks Kev.
