i am turning an english elm segmented bowl which will be a centre piece on a large dining table. it will be used for cold salads with dressings containing some oils.
i was considering using organ oil, perhaps the burnish type.
has anyone used this in this application? is this the correct selection of finishes? what else could i use? any constructive comments will be appreciated.
