Cross-cut sled - latest version
G'day mates
Long time ago, I posted 6 posts named "Table saw sled"...
Just for the reference, you can see them here;
Table saw sled - Woodwork Forums
Table saw sled - part II - Woodwork Forums
Table saw sled - part III - Woodwork Forums
Table saw sled - part IV - Woodwork Forums
Table saw sled - part V - Woodwork Forums
Table saw sled - part VI - last one... - Woodwork Forums
I changed a few things to simplify the sled operation, like; I removed the "hold-down bar" and left only the "hold-down plate" that I press down with my left hand...
Also, I didn't see any point of using the small "hold-down plate", the big one can cover all the cases...
So in total, it's a normal sled when you like it and, when you want to rip or cross-cut small pieces, you just "click" the "hold down plate" or the "hold down block" (to the blade guard) and go...
Regards
niki

Thank you for your kind words mates
As for being "missing"....without making it "subject of the day", I got some Colon Cancer and I spent some 7 months in and out of hospital. The good news is that I'm "clean" now but no woodworking (or any other physical work) at list till the end of this year...

niki

Niki,
Sorry to hear the bad news, glad you've been given the all clear.
No woodwork! what are you going to do to occupy yourself during the long, cold Polish winterGeoff

Thank you Geoff
Well, in any case I don't do any woodworking during the winter...it's too cold in the garage...so, the usual "winter schedule" - internet, television "jump" to Japan and or Israel and alike...

Very neat Niki.
Glad to hear you a on top of things again.
You didn't miss much - just lots of saw dust and a bit of bull dust.
I look forward to more great plans now you will be spending more time on the internet.
CheersScally

Crosscut sled
Nikki,
I made a crude version of your most recent crosscut sled. It works extremely well.
Thanks for your creativity and ideas.
