Bathroom Flooring
hi- I am converting a timber floor room into a combined bathroom/washing/drying room in Victoria (Queenscliff) If the wet bath area is tiled, can anyone advise what to use under the washing machine and dryer? They will be elevated on a platform 400mm and enclosed in the usual whiteboard carcasses, with a double-fold door in front. Can I just overlay the entire floor with AC (villaboard)-tile the bathroom and leave the area under the machines? The main concern is a water catastrophe in the washing machine area.
Thanks in advance

I would put cement sheet down over trhe total floor including under the washing machine and dryer. Seal it after its down.

Yep, sheet and seal the lot, if you are worried about water overflow you could always install a floor drain....
