Enclosing a verandah
We have been trying to think of ways to give our teenage kids extra room. we thought that enclosing the verandah off their rooms would be a cheap easy solution until i went to the local council. Seeems that i need to comply with the 6 star energy rating and bushfire overlay to do this. I was just planning on a simple enclosure, wall each end of the verandah and windows along the front, and replacing the current windows with glass french doors. We where only planning this to be a sitting area for them like a sunroom/ rumpus type thing. Any ideas on how we can acheive this without having to jump through hoops with the council.
