Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience in using Brazilian Cherry (also known as Jatoba) timber?

We may be able to get some for our deck (which we will be having built in the next couple of months) and was wondering was the prospects are for the look and colour and longevity and pest/disease resitance (we are having a roof and blinds to protect the timber installed). Also any info on the finish we should give it and the on-going maintenance it needs - I'd love to have a timber that retains a natural jarrah colour outdoors if looked after properly.

Any info would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks!

Zoe.
